Marta JaneczekFOUNDER AND MAIN TEACHERCertified Unnata® Aerial Yoga and Yin Yoga Instructor. Psychologist (MA), Occupational Therapist, Public Relations Professional.
"Simplicity and functional anatomy play a crucial role in my teaching. I take into account individual characteristics and believe that asanas, or yoga poses, should be adapted to the person – hence my love for yoga props, especially the aerial yoga hammock. I firmly believe that a person is a holistic entity: the body and mind are intrinsically connected. As a yoga teacher, therapist, and psychologist, I encourage students to be curious and appreciate their own bodies and all the sensations that asanas evoke, including those initially uncomfortable ones." |
Bio
I began practicing Iyengar yoga regularly 21 years ago in Warsaw and started teaching in 2005. I'm grateful for the opportunity to have participated in various trainings, workshops, and conventions with numerous yoga teachers.
My own practice and teaching have been greatly influenced by the Iyengar yoga teacher training I completed in Warsaw (2008), the Unnata® Aerial Yoga teacher training with Michelle Dortignac (New York, USA), and the Yin Yoga teacher training RYT200 under Dhugal Meachem (Edinburgh, Scotland). I have taught yoga in Warsaw, Munich, Jyväskylä, and since 2016, at my own studio, ILMA Helsinki.
In addition to being a yoga teacher, I am a psychologist, occupational therapist, and Public Relations professional. In my theses for each degree, I explored yoga and its effects from various perspectives. I feel that these professions are all integrated into my way of teaching yoga.
